How FLORALE began
FLORALE started with a simple question: Florian asked Rainer if he would join him on violin for a few events.
They met for a first rehearsal at Rainer’s home.
That’s when the idea came up to bring in Leander, Rainer’s son. He picked up his guitar – and suddenly violin, vocals and guitar were a trio.
At that first rehearsal together, it was clear it worked.
Florian suggested turning this into a project of its own. All that was missing was a name. The answer was close at hand: FLOrian, RAiner and LEander became FLORALE.
After a few rehearsals it was obvious the trio still needed a rhythmic foundation. At a rehearsal in the ErLebt Kirche, Rainer heard Sebastian on drums and invited him to join.
Sebastian was the missing piece. His name never made it into the band name, but with him FLORALE was complete.
Today four musicians stand behind FLORALE – connected by the joy of playing together.
Rainer
Electric violin
Rainer adds a distinctive touch with his electric violin. Through his effects board he creates atmospheric sounds and textures that go far beyond classical violin playing, bridging old and new.
Leander
Keyboard & guitar
On keyboard and guitar, Leander lays the harmonic foundation of the songs. With his chords he creates depth and forms the reliable base for the overall sound.
Sebastian
Drums
Sebastian is responsible for the rhythmic framework and dynamics. At his comprehensive drum kit he enriches the music with a wide palette of sounds and gives the songs their unique vitality.
